Student Involvement

All students at Arizona State University are eligible to join the Amateur Radio Club regardless of course of study. We offer a great environment to come learn the hobby! If you already have you license, we have the resources to use it, including a fully stocked shack as well as equipment available to borrow. We know that Amateur Radio can be expensive, so it is our goal to provide you with all of the resources needed to enjoy the hobby!

Don't have your license yet? No problem! We are working on setting up 1 day classes to study for the technician's license exam. If you are interested in upgrading your current license, we can provide you with the resources to advance!

Besides opportunities to use our equipment, we also attend events where you can meet other radio operators and participate in radio based activities. When available, we participate in community outreach. From helping with communication for events to teaching kids about the radio hobby, there is plenty to do in the club!

We understand that as a student, your schedule is busy. Our goal is to make the club as flexible as possible. Meetings are not mandatory to attend, however if you don't have a conflict we hope to see you there! Members are welcome to request usage of our shack or handhelds at any time and we will do our best to accommodate all requests!

If you are currently involved in Amateur Radio, we welcome you to come teach our students new skills to expand their knowledge of Amateur Radio. We are always welcome to having community members come out and talk at meetings, lead a class, or other radio related functions. Please contact us so we can help you get involved!

Youth Organizations and Schools

Want to teach the leaders of tomorrow more about Amateur Radio? We can have them check out our shack and operate some of our equipment, come visit a meeting or school to teach about radio, or many other forms of outreach! It is important to us that the hobby of Amateur Radio can be enjoyed by all ages! Contact us for more information!
